THERE IS AN INCREASED RISK FOR GRASS…BRUSH AND FIELD FIRES TO SPREAD OUT OF CONTROL THIS AFTERNOON. BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO CLIMB INTO THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 70S THIS AFTERNOON WHILE RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES DROP TO 30 PERCENT OR LESS. WHILE LEAVES AND SMALL TWIGS ARE CONTINUING TO DRY…LOCALLY DRIER FUEL MOISTURE CONDITIONS MAY EXIST IN AREAS EXPOSED TO THE SUN. IN ADDITION…MANY CROPS HAVE BECOME SUFFICIENTLY DRY TO POSE AN INCREASED RISK FOR IGNITION…ESPECIALLY DURING HARVEST OPERATIONS. WIND SPEEDS WILL NOT BE A STRONG AS YESTERDAY…SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 25 MPH CAN STILL BE EXPECTED. SMALL FIRES COULD
QUICKLY EXCEED THEIR BOUNDARIES AND IMPACT ADJACENT VEGETATION AND POTENTIALLY STRUCTURES.IF YOU MUST BURN…ENSURE THAT THE FIRE IS CONSTANTLY MONITORED…AND SEVERAL OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE TO QUICKLY
