Dave Gong of the Journal Gazette is reporting that Fort Wayne City Clerk Sandy Kennedy will resign.
In a phone interview late this afternoon, attorney Mark GiaQuinta said the long-time city clerk is expected to resign within the next couple of days because of medical reasons. GiaQuinta, a former Fort Wayne city councilman, was unable to provide the exact date Kennedy expects to resign, but said she will do so when she is physically able to make the announcement.
GiaQuinta said Kennedy is currently under her physician’s care, but declined to comment on the nature of her condition or where she is receiving care.
