USF Faculty Among Outstanding Healthcare Professionals
(Octobter 8, 2015) — On September 10, 2015, Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly recognized seven extraordinary healthcare professionals for their work to improve the quality of healthcare in Northeast Indiana. Two of those professionals are USF faculty.
The USF instructors honored were Associate Professor of Nursing Cheryl Erickson, RN, MA, FNP-BC, CNE and Faculty Emeritus Meg Wilson, PhD, RN, APHN-BC, CNE. “These faculty are shining examples of nurses who have dedicated their lives to health and the well-being of our community through teaching, leadership, scholarship and service,” said Dr. Mindy Yoder, dean of the School of Health Sciences.
As an advanced practice nurse with 39 years of experience as a nurse educator, Erickson is a role model in leadership and service to the profession and the community. Certified as a public health nurse, Wilson has served USF and the Fort Wayne area for many years, teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research and participating on multiple community boards.
