News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, 1530 Edsall Avenue
FWFD units responded to a fully involved house fire in the 1500 block of Edsall Avenue early this morning. Upon arrival, crews found a vacant 2 story home with fire showing throughout the structure. Multiple crews worked to extinguish the fire that was contained to the home of origin.
No other structures were involved and no injuries were reported. The fire was under control in 35 minutes, but crews stayed on scene until dawn to put out hot spots and work with the demolition contractor.
FWPD, TRAA, AEP, NIPSCO and NCE assisted at the scene.
