News release from Fort4Fitness:

2015 Fort4Fitness Race Week is Here!
Lots of new things in store for the 8th Annual Fall Festival

(September 21, 2015) – A new start line, new race times, and new shirts and medals are just a few of the new and exciting things at Fort4Fitness this weekend!

On Friday, September 25th at noon, the Fort4Fitness Festival Expo at Parkview Field will kick off the weekend and be open through 8 pm. Packet Pick-up, inside the Festival Expo on the center field concourse, will be open until 9 pm. The Kids Marathon and Seniors Marathon start at 6:30 pm and will finish near home plate inside Parkiew Field. On Saturday, September 26th, the races start with the 10K Run/Walk at 7:30 am, followed by the Half Marathon at 8:30 am, and the 4 Mile Run/Walk at 10:30 am. For the first time, strollers (pre-registered) are welcome in both the 4 Mile and 10K races.

The Triple Crown and Double Play race options have both seen a huge spike in popularity since their inception one year ago. These race options are the ultimate challenges Fort4Fitness has to offer. More than 100 people have registered for the Triple Crown, meaning they will run all three Fort4Fitness races (for a total of 23.3 miles), while more than 130 people have signed up for the Double Play, meaning they will run some combination of two out of the three races.

The 2015 Fall Festival includes a new start line on Harrison Street, just north of the Harrison/Baker Street intersection (complete with a festival atmosphere)! Fort4Fitness start line sponsor PNC Bank will be supplying cheer signs, so be sure to pick one up at the PNC Festival Expo booth or the start line area.

Unique runners this year include a firefighter, Robb Gerken, who will be running the Half Marathon wearing his full gear, the winner of the race shirt community design contest, Amanda Peet, running the Half Marathon, and several runners who have overcome major obstacles to run Fort4Fitness, including Valerie Stauffer in the Half Marathon, Damon Greven in the Triple Crown, and David Colclasure with his son Austin in the Half Marathon.

Final participant numbers will be available after registration closes.
