Although Allen County is not included in the current Dense Fog Advisory, the NWS warns that dense fog may develop southward from the advisory area this morning.

Dense Fog Advisory just north of us

(August 31, 2015) – A dense fog advisory has been issued for southern lower Michigan, along with portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio until 9 am EDT Monday morning. Visibilities of less than one quarter of a mile are expected. Visibilities should improve after 9 am EDT Monday morning.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT /8 AM CDT/ THIS MORNING.

* HAZARDOUS WEATHER…AREAS OF DENSE FOG WITH VISIBILITIES REDUCED TO A 1/4 MILE OR LESS WILL IMPACT TRAVEL EARLY THIS MORNING.

* IMPACTS…MOTORIST SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION AND BE PREPARED FOR RAPID CHANGES IN VISIBILITIES OVER A SHORT DISTANCE. THE MORNING COMMUTE MAY BE ADVERSELY AFFECTED.
