Science Central schedules annual fall shutdown for August 31 – September 11
(August 7, 2015) – August and September will be a busy time for Science Central. With local schools back in session soon, the science center is taking this opportunity to adjust its open hours and perform annual maintenance.
Starting August 10, Science Central will begin implementing its school year hours of operation schedule. The new hours are as follows:
- Monday – Tuesday, Closed
- Wednesday – Friday, Open 10 – 4 p.m.
- Saturday, Open 10 – 5 p.m.
- Sunday, Open 12 – 5 p.m.
The school year hours will remain in effect until December when schools are on winter break.
Science Central has also scheduled its annual fall shutdown to perform exhibit and building maintenance. During the fall shutdown, the center will be closed to the general public on weekdays between Monday, August 31 and Friday, September 4 as well as Monday, September 7 through Friday, September 11. However, Science Central will be open for business on the weekend days of Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6. The center will resume its school year hours starting Saturday, September 12.
