Plans Underway for First Annual Allen County Right to Life Picnic
(August 10, 2015) – Plans are in place for the first annual Allen County Right to Life Uniting Our City for Life Picnic on Sunday, Aug. 16. Organizers expect hundreds of area pro-life advocates to attend the event at Headwaters Park West in Fort Wayne.
The picnic will show appreciation to local pro-life supporters and strengthen awareness about the abortion issue within Fort Wayne and surrounding areas. Father David Mary Engo will offer words of encouragement to those in attendance.
“We’re excited to roll out this family-friendly event on Sunday in Fort Wayne,” said Cathie Humbarger, Executive Director of Allen County Right to Life. “The pro-life community in Allen County is second to none, and we’re pleased this will be a small way to bring everyone together and extend our thanks.”
A $25 entrance fee per family includes dinner and a 1-year Allen County Right to Life membership, or renewal of a current membership.
This picnic, and a fall evening fundraiser, will replace the annual Allen County Right to Life Banquet for Life.
