Wells County Robotics camp underway with a robotics challenge Friday
(July 29, 2015) – Wells County Economic Development and Wells County 4-H are implementing the 2nd annual Robotics Camp, which started July 27th and continues through July 31st. The camp’s focus is to promote various manufacturing careers for middle and high school students.
The camp is having an eventful week, which included 16 students on Monday being introduced to the EV3 Lego Mindstorm robots. The campers toured Metaldyne, Star Engineering and McDonald’s to see how robots are used in the workforce. Students will design, build, and program their robots.
The culmination of the week will be the final robotics challenge, where the winning team will be decreed the “Robotics Masters”. The robotics challenge will be on Friday, July 31st from 1:00 – 3:00PM in room 1 at the 4-H building in Bluffton, Indiana.
