Work is progressing on the reconstruction of Fairfield Avenue between Baker Street and Jefferson Boulevard as well as Cityscape Flats development project.
Fairfield Avenue has been converted into two-way traffic which led to the necessity of re-constructing the intersection with Brackenridge Street. Sight lines were limited looking south on Fairfield from Brackenridge and now that it’s two-way again, safety has necessitated that those sight lines be improved.

We’ve not heard an official date for the groundbreaking of the downtown Cityscape Flats development next to Parkview Field, but we’ve been told it is getting closer. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see the start of construction later this week or next.
