BRIEF SUMMARY OF INCIDENT and/or ARREST:
On Friday, July 17, 2015, the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice & Narcotics division, along with members of the Emergency Services Team served a search warrant at 436 West Williams Street. Narcotics Detectives had investigated Heroin and Fentanyl sales at this location, and obtained a search warrant for this address.
During the service of the search warrant, one adult male was discovered inside of the residence. Mr. Rasheed Martin, M/B 34 was arrested for five (5) counts of dealing cocaine or narcotic drug (Heroin/Fentanyl), three (3) counts of being a serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, and one (1) count of maintaining a common nuisance. During a search of the residence, a large amount of U.S. Currency was discovered.
We were assisted in this investigation by the Fort Wayne Fire Department, who helped ventilate the apartment after the raid. We were also assisted by the Allen County Department of Health, who offered free HIV/Hepatitis C testing to the suspect in this investigation.
