Laugh Out Your Pain Comedy Tour at the Embassy Theatre
Aug. 14, 8 p.m.

(July 2, 2015) – The United Dialysis Foundation presents the Laugh Out Your Pain Comedy Tour featuring comedians Michael Blackson, Red Grant and Luenell. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 10, at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone, 800.745.3000, or in person at the Embassy box office. Tickets are $53 for VIP package, $41 and $31. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the United Dialysis Foundation, an organization that provides dialysis services to those with chronic kidney failure and helps to improve quality of life for patients and their families. The Laugh Out Your Pain Comedy Tour will feature comedian Michael Blackson who has been called one of the most original stand-up comics in the country. Michael Blackson, aka, “The African King of Comedy,” has been entertaining audiences all across the country and around the globe for more than a decade. He regularly appears on the ComicView series on BETand HBO’s Def Comedy Jam and appeared in the movie Next Friday.

Red Grant has remained one of the top comedians on television over the years, gaining millions of fans from all walks of life. Getting his start at the Apollo Theatre and HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Grant is best known for his contagious laugh and appearances in American Hustle, First Sunday and Martin Lawrence’s First Amendment.

Best known for her breakthrough role as the “hooker with the heart of gold” in the blockbuster comedy of 2006 Borat, Luenell is recognized by both mainstream and urban sectors of the population. Her two-year tour and DVD appearances in “Katt Williams American Hustle” have created an almost cult-like following. Luenell has been seen on recent episodes of The Middle and Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as well as a stand-up appearance Stand-up in Stilettos on the TV Guide Network.

The show will also feature comedians Double D and Austin Rich.
