News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, 5025 Devonshire Drive
The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire at 5025 Devonshire Drive. When crews arrived heavy fire and smoke was was coming from the rear of the structure. All of the occupants where out of the structure when the Fire Department arrived. It took the Fire Department 16 minuets to bring the fire under control. One occupant was checked at the scene by TRAA Medics but refused treatment.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by AEP, NIPSCO, Neighborhood Code, and the family was being helped by Red Cross.
