News release from the Transportation Security Administration:

Permanent TSA Pre?â„¢ Application Center open in Fort Wayne
Travelers near Fort Wayne now have a convenient way to apply for expedited screening

WHAT: The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has officially opened a permanent site for its TSA Pre?® Application Program due to the local success of the program.

TSA and Fort Wayne International Airport hosted a mobile enrollment site at the airport in early May, which performed well over expectations. Officials estimated that 150 people would sign up for the program during a one-week period, however nearly 650 people enrolled.

TSA Pre?® is an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and keep 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on bag.

U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents will now be able to go through a pre-enrollment process online at www.TSA.gov, make an appointment and complete their enrollment at the application center to verify their identity, present documentation to confirm their citizenship/immigration status and provide fingerprints.

The application center, located at 4227 Bluffton Road, is open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-3:15 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-noon.

Applicants with questions can contact the Universal Enrollment Call Center at 1-855-347-8371 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. ET.
