News release from the Embassy:
Broadway at the Embassy change in schedule for 2015-16 season
(June 8, 2015) – Jam Theatricals announce two changes for the upcoming Broadway at the Embassy season.
The tour of I Love Lucy: Live on Stage has been canceled by the producers. In its place, Jam Theatricals is pleased to present Bullets Over Broadway, May 6, 2016, at 7:30 p.m.
“The best show in town!” shouts NPR.
Hailed by Time magazine as, “Musical Theatre Gold,”! Bullets over Broadway is the hilarious musical comedy about the making of a Broadway show.
Written by Woody Allen, with original direction and choreography by Susan Stroman and based upon the screenplay of the acclaimed film by Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath, Bullets over Broadway is the story of a young playwright who, in desperate need of financial backing for his next show, accepts an offer he can’t refuse from a mobster looking to please his showgirl girlfriend. Loaded with big laughs, colorful characters and the songs that made the ‘20s roar, Bullets Over Broadway is bringing musical comedy back with a bang.
The second change is that the performance of Ragtime The Musical, originally scheduled for Nov. 4, will now take place on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.
The full and updated schedule for Broadway at the Embassy 2015-16 is:
- The Illusionists, Oct. 11
- Ragtime, Nov. 5
- Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Dec. 16
