Press release from Lutheran Health Network:
Shared Services Center on pace to add more than 200 new jobs in the next year
Lutheran Health Network affiliate up and running at new Magnavox Way location
(March 4, 2015) – Nearly seven months after Gov. Mike Pence joined executives from Lutheran Health Network and other local and state leaders to announce plans for an expansion of Shared Services Center Fort Wayne, almost a third of the 320 new jobs have already been filled.
The Shared Services Center, an affiliate of Lutheran Health Network that provides business office services such as processing of medical insurance claims, billing, appeals, insurance collection and customer service for hospitals in the region, officially moved to its new home at 1700 Magnavox Way Dec. 15. More than 62,000 square feet of leased space was renovated to accommodate more than 175 existing SSC employees and approximately 100 who have been hired since last year. An estimated 480 individuals will be employed at the SSC by the first quarter of 2016.
To celebrate the first phase of this ongoing success story for northeastern Indiana, a ceremonial ribbon cutting will took place last Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Shared Services Center.
The Shared Services Center expansion was a collaborative effort involving multiple organizations including the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Greater Fort Wayne Inc., Northeast Indiana Works, the City of Fort Wayne and Allen County. Representatives from some of these organizations are expected to attend.
