Silver Alert Subject Found Deceased

Time: 7:05 a.m.
Location: Pleasant Avenue and Forest Avenue
Victim: Scot M. Taylor M/62, Deceased
Details:
On Wednesday, January 28th at approximately 5:40 p.m. Mr. Taylor, a resident at a group home located in the northeastern part of the city was discovered missing by staff members. Officers were called to the home and quickly learned that Mr. Taylor had pre-existing medical conditions and too he was inappropriately dressed for the prevailing weather conditions prompting a search and eventually a silver alert being issued.
At 7:05 a.m. this morning a bicyclist utilizing the River Greenway in the area of Pleasant Avenue and Forest Avenue came across an unresponsive male. Once on scene officers realized that the male was in fact the subject of the silver alert, Scot M. Taylor. Taylor was pronounced dead on scene by medics.
The Allen County Coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death. Foul play is not suspected.
