Midwest Drawing Invitational opens with January 17 reception

(January 8, 2015) — The Midwest Drawing Invitational will begin on Saturday, January 17 with a special opening reception at 6 – 9 p.m. in the John P. Weatherhead Gallery on the campus of the University of Saint Francis, 2701 Spring Street. This exhibition will present works by five nationally recognized artists that focus on drawing as an artistic medium. Artists include: Steven Carrelli (Chicago, Ill.) Brett Eberhardt (Macomb, Ill.) Charles Kanwischer (Bowling Green, Ohio) James Linkous (New York, N.Y.) and Matthew Woodward (Chicago, Ill.).

Charles Kanwischer will also be presenting as part of USF’s Closer Look lecture series on February 3 in the USF North Campus Auditorium.

The Midwest Drawing Invitational exhibit will run through February 25.
