Armed Robbery arrest

BRIEF SUMMARY OF INCIDENT and/or ARREST:
The Fort Wayne Police Department investigated the report of an armed robbery in the 3700 block of Maywood Ave. early on 1/11/15. The victim told investigators that he had been sitting in a car with a friend when an unknown male/black subject approached and began yelling at him. The victim stated that the perpetrator displayed a black handgun in his waistband and ordered him to the ground. The victim stated that once on the ground, the perpetrator searched him and took his wallet and cell phone.
A female witness later led police to an apartment in the 3300 block of Diplomat Dr. The perpetrator was located inside along with the stolen property. He was arrested for Armed Robbery, a Level 3 Felony. No one was injured in the incident. This investigation involved a cooperative effort that included Southeast Division Patrol Officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department, Troopers from the Indiana State Police, and Detectives with the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit.
