Shooting Investigation

Date: Thursday, November 13, 2014

Time: 3:35 a.m.

Location: 4100 Block N. Clinton Street

Victim: Adult/Male, Critical Condition

Details:

Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that took place in the 4100 block of N. Clinton Street at approximately 3:35 a.m. this morning. The victim was found outside of his vehicle in the middle of the roadway being assisted by a motorist that had stopped to render aid. He was transported to a local hospital where physicians determined him to be in critical condition.

Investigators believe that the victim was the only person in his vehicle at the time of the shooting. Broken glass from the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle was discovered just north of the scene where investigators also discovered and collected spent shell casings. There is no suspect information at this time.

This being a highly traveled area investigators are asking anyone that might have observed the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867) or the Detective Bureau at 427-1201.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
