Non-suspicious Death
Date/Time of Incident: 10-18-2014 1:17pm
Location of Incident: Goshen Rd. and Harris Rd., southeast of the intersection
Deceased: Male
On October 18, 2014, at 1:17pm, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a person down southeast of the intersection of Goshen Rd. and Harris Rd. Officers arrived and located a person down in a small ditch on the north side of the road. Medics pronounced the person deceased.
A passerby was walking down the road and noticed the body in the ditch, and called police.
Because of the location of the body down in the ditch, it was not initially apparent what had happened to the person. Per standard protocol, a crime scene unit was requested to help document the scene.
Upon further investigation with the assistance of the Allen County Coroner’s Office, this does not appear to be a suspicious death, as no foul play is suspected.
Therefore, there is nothing further to be released.
