AroundFortWayne Sunday Series: Casey Cox

On October 15, 2014, we sat down with Republican incumbent Casey Cox and talked about his re-election campaign for the Indiana House District 85 seat. He is unopposed this November. Representative Phyllis Pond had announced last year she wouldn’t be seeking another term. In mid-October last year, she announced she was resigning and shortly after passed away. A caucus was held and Casey emerged the new Representative.

Topics covered in the interview: Introduction, top 3 issues, government’s role in economic development, election and redistricting reform efforts, return of passenger rail service to Fort Wayne Indiana, health care, criminal sentencing reform, and in the conclusion talks about three bills he will introduce in the next session of the General Assembly which topics cover: government reduction, a new social entrepreneurship corporation and changes to the safe haven laws.
