wanted suspects from September 24, 2014

The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking the public to assist us in the robbery investigation of the Sparky Mart BP Station located at 4935 Bluffton Road on September 24, 2014. We are hopeful that someone might recognize something unique about the mannerisms, physical shape, or even clothing worn by the two suspects captured in the video.

The suspect wearing the traffic vest has a long ponytail which leads us to believe that this suspect is quite possibly a female. Anyone with information concerning their identity is ask to contact Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867).

Narrative from the Fort Wayne Police Department officer Trenary:

On September 24, 2014 Officer Bobay and I responded to a possible armed robbery at 4935 Bluffton road. We were advised that this was the Sparky Mart and the two suspects had left out of the back door.

When I arrived on scene I found two males outside. I advised one to wait by his car and the other to go speak with Officer Bobay who had also arrived on scene. I went inside to make contact with the cp, Georgene Rauner, who was the employee working. I asked ####### to describe the suspects to me and which way they went. She stated that they left out of the back door and she was unsure which way they went after that. She stated that there were two suspects. She stated that she believed them to both be male/blacks. She stated that one male black was skinny and was wearing black. She stated that he was holding a longer type gun. She stated that he did not speak but the other suspect did all the talking.

######## stated that the other male was very large/heavy set also wearing all black. She stated that she did not see this person with a gun however he did all the talking. She stated that both suspects had black masks pulled over their face. She stated that it appeared that the eye holes were cut out of the mask. ######### stated that when they came in the large suspect came around behind the counter. She stated that he was yelling at her to give her the money. She stated that he also yelled at her to get money from the safe. She stated that the suspect told her that he saw her put money under the safe and she needed to get it. ######### stated that she told the suspect that she did not have the key to the safe and was unable to access it. She stated that she
gave them the money out of both cash registers and believed it to total around $###. She stated that after this the large suspect yelled at the other one and they opened the door that led to the back room and then left out of the back door to the store. ######### stated that she then went and pushed the holdup alarm and called 911.

######## advised that the skinny male black stood at the front door while the robbery was taking place. She stated that there was a customer inside at the time as well. This customer was one of the males waiting outside when I arrived. Officer Bobay gathered his information and his version of what took place during the robbery.

I contacted the Db and was advised that Detective Duboise was enroute to the scene. I spoke with an employee with subway which is connected to the Sparky Mart. She stated that she did not see anything however they have a camera out back. She contacted a manager who advised they would try to review the video tomorrow and provide it to sparky mart.

I waited on scene until the Detective Duboise arrived. A short time later the manager of Sparky Mart arrived to help Detective Duboise review the video of inside the store. ###### was able to access the video from inside the store.

On the video we observed that the skinny male/black was wearing black with tan pants and white/black shoes. He was also holding a black long gun. This male stood at the front door during the robbery until both suspects left through the back. The other suspect was a very large size. This suspect was wearing what appeared to be an orange traffic vest. We also observed that this suspect had a long pony tail. After reviewing the video we felt that it was possible that the second suspect could be a female. ######### advised that this suspect did have a somewhat deep voice. It did not appear that this suspect was holding a gun.

A county K9 arrived on scene as well and did a track from the back door. We were advised that he tracked to the Pine Haven Motel however we were advised that officers made contact with the occupants and they did not appear to
be involved.

We stood by on scene until Detective Duboise advised that we could clear to complete our reports. Officer Bobay and I completed our reports in the parking lot of Sparky Mart while ######## and ###### finished closing up the business.
