Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Seeking Apprentices
(September 29, 2014) – Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 166 will host an Industry Advancement and Apprenticeship
Promotion event Tuesday through Friday at 2930 W. Ludwig Road.The event is designed to encourage people to consider paid apprenticeships for a variety of occupations,
including welding, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, maintenance, plumbing and pipefitting.
The promotion will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.Applicants for apprenticeships must have a high school degree or equivalent, be at least 18 years old by July 1,
2015 and pass an aptitude test before being considered. WorkOne Northeast will administer the test.The wages of selected apprentices will gradually rise during the course of the program – from $12.32 an hour to
