Fatal Shooting Investigation

Incident Location: 600 East Rudisill Blvd.
Victims: Adult Male/Deceased and Adult Male/Serious Condition
On Sunday, 09/21/2014, at approximately 12:55 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 600 block of East Rudisill Blvd. reference a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located two adult/male victims inside a residence. Both victims appeared to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported one of the victims to a local hospital in critical condition. The other victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Upon arriving at the hospital, one of the victims was pronounced deceased by a physician and the other victim remains in serious condition.
It is unclear if the shooting occurred inside or outside the residence. Detectives are currently interviewing the victim, potential witnesses, and nearby neighbors. Crime Scene Technicians are processing the scene and collecting evidence. The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity along with the cause and manner of death.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
