Boggs joins IPFW as Director of Alumni Relations

(September 11, 2014) — Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) welcomes alumna Debra Boggs as its new director of alumni relations.

“Debra is one of 55,000 alumni who show their IPFW pride in northeast Indiana, throughout the country, and around the world,” said Wendy Kobler, vice chancellor for advancement. “She’ll help us build affinity groups, create alumni networking opportunities, and give our alumni exciting ways to connect with fellow Mastodons. I’m thrilled to work with her. Our alumni will love her!”

Boggs comes to IPFW from the University of Saint Francis, where she headed up donor relations. Prior to that, she worked in the university’s Career Services, Alumni, and Development offices. She has an active history of fundraising and volunteerism, most recently as the alumni representative for IPFW’s Center for Social Research. She is a second-generation Fort Wayne native.

“I am excited and honored to come home to my alma mater and to serve our amazing community of alumni,” Boggs said. “I encourage everyone to come back to campus and see the great things IPFW is doing today.”

Boggs has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and an Associate of Science in Labor Studies from IPFW. She is finishing a Master of Science in Management (expected June 2015).

She began her role on July 23.
