Judge Glenda Hatchett to speak at 25th Annual Conference on Youth
(September 17, 2014) – Great KIDS make Great COMMUNITIES is happy to present to you information on the upcoming 25th Annual Conference on Youth to be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014.
The Conference on Youth is expected to draw more than 700 youth and family serving professionals from Allen County and the greater Northeast Indiana area. This yearly training brings in top professionals in the field of youth and family services to train area workers on strengths-based practices. Participants will hear three keynote sessions and will choose from nine workshop sessions. All of our keynote and workshop presenters are willing to be interviewed by phone prior to the conference or in person the day of the conference (October 2, 2014.)
Over 50 youth and family serving agencies have already registered for vendor space, with more expected, making the Service Provider Fair portion of the conference one of the largest of its kind in Northeast Indiana.
One of the speakers at this year’s conference is Judge Glenda Hatchett. Well known for her award-winning television show, Judge Hatchett, Glenda Hatchett was lauded for her creative sentencing and powerful administration of justice. Judge Hatchett was recognized as Outstanding Jurist of the Year by the National Bar Association after only her first year on the bench and, in 2003, the Court Appointed Special Advocates deemed her their National Spokesperson. There will be a special “Meet and Greet” with Judge Hatchett for CASA volunteers during the conference at 9:45 am.
