Shooting Investigation
Date/Time of Incident: 09-05-2014 9:40 PM
Location of Incident: 4400 Lillie Street
Victim: Adult Female Critical Condition
On Friday September 5, 2014 at approximately 9:40 PM, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Lillie street in reference to a shooting investigation. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they located a female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics provided medical attention to the victim before transporting her to a local hospital in critical condition.
Investigators advised that the female was inside a residence at the time of the shooting and that the perpetrator fired the shots from outside into the residence. Investigators have not made any arrests at this time and there is no suspect information. The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
