Strong storms possible Labor Day

(August 31, 2014) – Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will remain possible this morning, mainly southeast of US Highway 24 as a weak cold front moves out of the area. Drier air will filter into the area later today into tonight with partly cloudy skies. A stronger cold front will push in from the west Monday afternoon into Monday night with a chance for thunderstorms. Some of these storms could be strong to severe during the late afternoon into evening hours.
