“County Night Out” features an open-house format designed to allow citizens the opportunity to meet the Commissioners and other elected officeholders face-to-face and get information about programs and services offered by various County departments. Among the County departments and elected officeholders which will be represented at the meetings are the Parks Department, Highway Department, Human Resources, the Department of Planning Services, Building Department, the Fort Wayne-Allen County Health Department, Solid Waste Management District, County Extension Service, Election Board, Sheriff, Treasurer and Assessor.
The Town of Grabill will host the first meeting on Thursday, September 18, at the Grabill Park located at 13131 Indiana Street.
The second “County Night Out” event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, at the Southwest Allen County Fire District’s new Station 4 at Lower Huntington Road and Dennis Road. It will be the first public event hosted by the station since recently opening in Lafayette Township.
The final meeting is set for Tuesday, October 14, in Monroeville at the Cornerstone Youth Center, 19819 Monroeville Road.
All three events start at 6:30 p.m. and end by 8:00 p.m.
