Updated weather story from the National Weather Service:
Showers and thunderstorms tonight
(August 21, 2014) – Showers and thunderstorms are expected across the area through the overnight. Some of the storms may be strong to severe this evening, mainly south of the U.S. 6 corridor. The main threat with any severe thunderstorm that may develop this evening is damaging winds. With the loss of daytime heating, the primary threat with any showers and thunderstorms will turn to heavy rainfall tonight, especially along and north of the U.S. 30 corridor. Localized flooding is possible if the heavy rainfall persists, especially in low lying areas and along creeks and streams.
