Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Increasing severe thunderstorm risk tonight
(June 30, 2014) – There is an increasing threat for severe thunderstorms across the area tonight, especially west of I-69. A line of severe thunderstorms across eastern Iowa will quickly race eastward over the next few hours. These thunderstorms are expected to impact the western portions of area between 7 and 8 PM EDT. There is the potential for widespread damaging winds up to 80 mph, along with an isolated tornado.
