I-69 and SR 1/Dupont Road Interchange Center Curb Work to Begin Tuesday, May 27
Lanes to be shifted to accommodate center curb work
(May 23, 2014) – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Fort Wayne District announces that Tuesday, May 27, work is scheduled to begin on the center curb of SR 1/Dupont Road between Dupont Commerce Court and Parkview Plaza Drive. To accommodate this work; new pavement markings will be added to shift traffic without restricting lanes.
During this phase of construction ramp restrictions will continue, with the majority of the work occurring on the eastern ramps.
Motorists may seek alternate routes, such as the new Union Chapel Interchange at Exit 317, to avoid delays.
The diverging diamond interchange is the first of its kind in Indiana, and is scheduled to be completion by November, 2014.
