Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:

Memorial weekend planner

(May 22, 2014) – Drier and less humid air will settle into the region into the start of the holiday weekend as high pressure moves across the Great Lakes. Temperatures will climb into the 70s through Saturday, with much cooler conditions along the lake shore areas as northwesterly winds across the cold lake (temperatures in the 40s) keep highs only in the 50s and 60s. Winds will become more southerly for Sunday into Memorial Day, allowing for increasing temperatures and humidity. An outside chance for a thunderstorm will exist Monday, but at this time nothing worthy of cancelling any plans.
