Shooting Investigation
Date: Thursday, May 22, 2014
Time: 12:00 a.m.
Location: 1300 Green Street
Victim: Adult Male, Critical Condition
Details: Fort Wayne Police responded to a report of an armed disturbance involving a male with a handgun in the 1300 block of Green Street. As officers were responding updated information indicated that shots were heard being fired. Once on scene an officer located the victim in the 1300 block of Green Street behind Building 7-B. The victim was transported from the scene in critical condition to a local hospital where he remains critical.
During the course of the investigation a van and its registered owner were located in the apartment complex approximately 1-block away. Detectives have detained the individual and towed his van as part of their investigative process. There has been no motive established nor has any arrest been made at this time.
This shooting incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutors office and the Allen County Coroners office.
