Severe thunderstorms possible tonight
Damaging winds, large hail and heavy rainfall possible

(May 20, 2014) – Severe thunderstorms are possible tonight, with damaging winds, large hail and heavy rainfall. The best chances for severe weather will be along and north of a Knox to Goshen to Coldwater line, however severe weather is possible across the entire area tonight.

The best timeframe for severe thunderstorms will be from approximately 8 PM to 2 AM. Isolated strong/severe storms are possible later into the overnight, but heavy rainfall will be the main threat after 2 AM. The storms are expected to initially develop northwest of the forecast area, and quickly move southeast into northwest Indiana and southwest lower Michigan between 8 PM and 10 PM. The storms will continue to progress east/southeastward through the night.
