Art Van Furniture to conduct ribbon cutting ceremony at new Fort Wayne, Indiana store May 17
WARREN, Mich. (May 13, 2014) – It’s time to celebrate! Art Van Furniture will host an official ribbon cutting ceremony at its Fort Wayne, Indiana store (311 Coliseum Blvd. across from Glenbrook Mall) after a fire delayed the festivities. The 46,000 square foot Art Van Furniture store has been open since late January but the ribbon cutting was delayed after a fire broke out in the showroom on February 14. The renovations are completed and the new ribbon cutting date is Saturday, May 17, at 9:30 a.m. Art Van Furniture executives including members of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. will do the honors. Members of the community are invited to attend.
“This ceremonial ribbon cutting is our opportunity to publicly thank the community for the warm welcome we have received,” said Art Van Elslander, founder and chairman of Art Van Furniture. “We are thoroughly enjoying working hand in hand with the families of Fort Wayne to enhance and beautify their homes.” In addition, Art Van Furniture will also host a free family fun day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. featuring face painting, clowns, giveaways and entertainment.
The new Fort Wayne location features popular name brands such as Broyhill, Roma Leather, Cindy Crawford Home, La-Z-Boy, and Art’s Backyard among others as well as mattresses and an Art Van Clearance Center. The retailer has brought approximately 50 full and part-time jobs to the area, and is well-known for giving back to the communities it serves.
The Midwest’s No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer’s first Indiana store debuted in Merrillville-Hobart in 2013.
