Turnstone coach wins Coach of the Year at 2014 National Wheelchair Basketball Championships

Louisville, KY (April 9, 2014) – Turnstone JV wheelchair basketball coach, Bob Burnsworth received the prestigious Ed Owen Coach of the Year award presented by the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. The award is given to a coach who displays vision, leadership and service with respect to the NWBA sport of wheelchair basketball and the development of its athletes and coaches.

Bob, who is a wheelchair user, has played wheelchair basketball competitively in the past as well as other adaptive sports. Bob was instrumental in starting Turnstone’s wheelchair basketball program in 1993 and has volunteered as a coach for many years.
