‘World-Class Management in a Global Economy’ is Theme for 2014 Doermer Dialogue

(February 28, 2014) – Today’s managers must be keenly aware of the challenges of managing in a global environment, especially since advancements in technology have spurred tremendous growth in the global economy. Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) 2014 Doermer School of Business Doermer Dialogue with Business Leaders will share solutions to those challenges and the influence they have on the northeast Indiana business community. This year’s event centers around world-class management in a global economy.

The keynote presentation will be given by John D. Zeglis, former chairman and CEO of AT&T Wireless and founder and chairman of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants Basketball Team. Following the keynote address, students in the Special Studies in International Business Administration course (D490) will present and discuss their findings on China’s business incubation and innovation and the impact it has on northeast Indiana.

“World-Class Management in a Global Economy: How Communication and Technology Can Help” takes place Friday, April 25, 2014, from 7 to 11 a.m. in IPFW’s International Ballroom in the Walb Student Union. Free parking is available in Parking Garage 2.

Regular admission tickets are $35 per person; for a table of eight, the cost is $245, and tickets for students are free; however, advance registration for all tickets is required. Register at 2014doermerdialogue.eventbrite.com.
