Multiple City Departments and Contractors Join Plowing Effort
Residents Encouraged to Not Park in Street
(January 5, 2014) – As windy conditions continue and snow levels reach above ten inches, additional crews are joining in to battle the latest snow storm.
The Fort Wayne Street Department will continue to work around the clock and will have added support from additional trucks provided by City Utilities, the Traffic Department, the Parks Department and several contracted private companies.
The efforts will allow the City to attack the snowfall on multiple levels as we operate under a State of Emergency throughout Allen County. The designation restricts travel to emergency workers only.
If possible, residents should not park along the street to allow for a better clearing of the street.
