Safety Tips for Halloween Trick-or-treating
Enjoy Halloween by being aware and staying safe. Please practice these safety tips:
- Wear bright clothing
- Have a flashlight
- Watch for traffic
- Have an adult with you
- If you do not have an adult, stay in large groups
- Have an adult check your candy before eating
- Stay in well-lit areas
- Never enter a home of a stranger
MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN!
Allen County Sheriff Kenneth Fries recommends the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for Trick or Treat in the county, to coincide with the City of Fort Wayne. Huntertown and Leo also have the same hours.
