Caron’s announces its grand opening at Glenbrook Square
Milwaukee, WI (August 9, 2013) – The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: BONT) is pleased to announce the grand opening of its Carson’s department store at Glenbrook Square in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Tuesday, September 10. The new Carson’s will be the retailer’s 14th store in Indiana.
The two-level 121,958 square foot store will offer a broad assortment of brand-name and exclusive private fashion apparel and accessory brands for the entire family, as well as cosmetics and home furnishings. The store has been completely renovated and designed for ease of shopping, featuring an open floor plan with wide aisles for customers to easily navigate through the store, luminous energy efficient lighting, comfortable seating areas and generously-sized fitting rooms. A touch screen kiosk will be available in the store for customers to browse Carson’s entire online assortment and purchase product with complimentary standard shipping of orders over $50.

The Grand Opening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, beginning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony starting at 8:45 a.m. at the exterior west entrance of the store. Speakers include Michelle Irish, Carson’s Store Manager Steve Byers, Executive Vice President of Stores for The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc.; Tom Henry, Mayor of Fort Wayne, and Brian Cote, General Manager of Glenbrook Square.
To celebrate the Grand Opening, the first 1,000 customers to enter the store at 9:00 a.m. will receive a free gift. The Grand Opening celebration continues through Wednesday, September 18, with special events, including face painting, children’s characters, live music and product demonstrations. Exclusive gift with purchase offers in cosmetics will also be available from Lancôme, Estée Lauder and Clinique. During the grand opening customers can also register to win a $500 Carson’s gift card.
We are pleased to announce that 10% of sales on grand opening day, Tuesday, September 10, will be donated by Carson’s to support the mission of the following non-profit organizations: Arts United for Greater Fort Wayne, Turnstone and Fort Wayne Trails. An executive from each organization will be present at the grand opening. Each non-profit will have representatives and information about their mission and work in the community.
