campusLink resumes August 19 at IPFW and Ivy Tech Northeast

(August 12, 2013) – As students at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) head back to classes, campusLink, the free shuttle service between the two campuses, will resume operations for the academic year on August 19. The first day of fall classes for Ivy Tech and IPFW is August 19 and August 26, respectively. Both schools and Citilink, Fort Wayne’s public transportation corporation, will continue their partnership funded in part by a Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) two-year grant through spring 2014.

The route includes stops at IPFW, its student housing, Ivy Tech’s Coliseum and North campuses, and shopping and residential areas both north and south of the campuses. Buses arrive every 20 minutes. campusLink operates during the institutions’ academic calendar, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The free shuttles do not operate on the weekends or when students are not on campus. For complete route details, go to fwcitilink.com/campuslink.

The original agreement called for a discount in adult monthly Citilink bus passes. The subsidized bus passes are still being made available for $36 by the institutions. The passes can be purchased at the IPFW and Ivy Tech Bursar offices.
