Memorial Coliseum Ranks No. 88 On Pollstar 2013 Mid-Year Worldwide Top 100 List
Also No. 10 on Venues Today “Top Stops” List, For May – June 2013, Among Similar Size Arenas
(July 30, 2013) – A pair of recent industry rankings list the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum among the most successful arena venues in the world.
Pollstar, a leading concert industry publication, listed the Memorial Coliseum as No. 88 on its 2013 Mid-Year Top 100 Arena Venues for Worldwide Ticket Sales report with 78,905 concert tickets sold between January 1 and June 30. This ranking is among all arenas worldwide, regardless of seating capacity. It includes the following sold out concerts held at the Memorial Coliseum already this year: Zac Brown Band on January 11, the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular on January 20, Luke Bryan on February 21 and Carrie Underwood on April 14, as well as, six other concert events. The Memorial Coliseum is the only Indiana venue to make the Pollstar 2013 Mid-Year Top 100 list.
Venues Today, an industry leading publication, recently ranked the Memorial Coliseum as the No. 10 “Top Stop” among worldwide venues seating 10,001 to 15,000, for the reporting period of May 16 through June 15, 2013. The top six venues on this list are located outside of the United States.
Additionally, during the first half of the year, the Memorial Coliseum hosted eight of the 2013 Pollstar Mid-Year Top 100 Worldwide Tours. The eight top tours included Kenny Chesney (13), Carrie Underwood (31), Luke Bryan (44), Zac Brown Band (56), Kid Rock (71), Barry Manilow (72), Winter Jam (89) and Shinedown & Three Days Grace (94).
