Symposium to Highlight Student Research and Creative Endeavors
(April 9, 2013) – Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) Office of Research, Engagement, and Sponsored Programs is sponsoring the 2013 Student Research and Creative Endeavor Symposium, Friday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Learning Commons on the second floor of Helmke Library.
This year’s event will feature a record 54 participants representing topics from Anthropology to Women’s Studies. The posters will be judged by a team of faculty and monetary prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place, as well as a People’s Choice award. Visitors to the symposium will select that winner.
The awards presentation will begin at 12:45 p.m. and will include remarks by Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein, Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Steven T. Sarratore, and Associate Vice Chancellor for Research, Engagement, and Sponsored Programs J Albayyari.
The symposium is free and open to the public.
