Holocaust Museum Official to Present Lecture in Fort Wayne
(April 3, 2013) – Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, along with Temple Achduth Vesholom and the Campus Outreach Lecture program of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, are pleased to announce a special lecture, Thursday, April 25, featuring Robert M. Ehrenreich.
Ehrenreich, who is director of the university programs division of the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Museum Memorial in Washington, D.C., will present “Addicted to Race: Eugenics and the Holocaust” at 7:30 p.m. at Temple Achduth Vesholom. The temple is located at 5200 Old Mill Road in southwest Fort Wayne.
In his lecture, Ehrenreich will discuss “…how Nazi Germany used principles of the worldwide eugenics movement to effect and justify the segregation, sterilization, and finally murder of those deemed ‘unworthy of life’ between 1933 and 1945.”
Seating for the lecture is limited; reservations are suggested and may be made by calling 260-744-4245. The lecture is free and open to the public.
