Seasonal Myrtle Beach Service Returns to FWA in 2013

The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority is pleased to announce the return of non-stop service to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina via Allegiant. The seasonal service between Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) and Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is booking now for travel beginning Thursday, May 16, 2013.

Allegiant will operate two flights per week, departing FWA on Thursdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. and arriving at MYR at 3:35 p.m. Return service from MYR will depart at 4:20 p.m. and arrive into FWA at 6 p.m.

“We are very excited Allegiant is resuming non-stop service to Myrtle Beach this summer. This route has continually done well in our market and we hope 2013 is no different,” said Scott Hinderman, Executive Director of Airports for the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority. “Allegiant has been a great partner for FWA. Myrtle Beach is one of four affordable vacation destinations they offer the community.”

Allegiant began service between FWA and MYR in April 2010. The service has been very successful with nearly 24,000 passengers having flown between the two airports since the route began.
