…WINTER STORM TO IMPACT THE TODAY AND TONIGHT…

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM ACROSS THE NORTHERN PLAINS WILL INTENSIFY AND DROP SOUTHEAST INTO THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM WEST TO EAST FROM LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON…AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH LATE TONIGHT BEFORE DIMINISHING. ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 7 INCHES ARE EXPECTED IN THE WARNING AREA WITH 2 TO 5 INCHES IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

LIGHT SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD NORTHEAST INDIANA AND NORTHWEST OHIO THIS AFTERNOON…AND WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY LATE THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW MAY BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES THIS EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING IN INTENSITY OVERNIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 7 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE BY LATE TONIGHT.
