Update on water utility discussion for February 5th
President of City Council, Tom Didier (R-2nd) today issued a statement regarding the continuation of the public hearing/presentation by Aqua Indiana and Fort Wayne City Utilities.
“Representative from Aqua Indiana and Fort Wayne City Utilities have been in contact to let me know that constructive talks are continuing with both parties as they work toward resolving all issues surrounding the proposed acquisition. In order that these good faith efforts can proceed without interruption, the presentations to the Fort Wayne City Council by Aqua Indiana and City Utilities will not take place during the Council meeting on Tuesday, February 5th.”
The City of Fort Wayne, with the support of Aqua Indiana, will ask the Council to hold Ordinance S-12-12-19 for discussion on the Aqua Indiana during the February 5th meeting.
