News release from the American Red Cross:
American Red Cross partners with Haunted Cave to give blood donors a ‘scary’ reason to donate
Halloween Blood Drive Scheduled Oct. 15 – 20 in Fort Wayne
The Halloween Blood Drive will take place at American Red Cross Fort Wayne donor centers Monday, Oct. 15 through Saturday, Oct. 20.
“We hope to attract new blood donors as well as our faithful givers through this promotion,” said Tracy Duncan Fox, Communications Manager for the American Red Cross. “We appreciate the partnership of the Haunted Cave and are excited to offer a ticket to each donor during this special blood drive,” Duncan Fox continued.
This year has seen numerous natural disasters and a decline in blood donations so the blood supply is in need of a boost. Steady and consistent blood donations are key to a strong blood supply.
You can help save lives this Halloween by participating in the annual Halloween Blood Drive. All who come to donate will receive one free admission to the Haunted Cave and a candy treat bag.
This is also The American Red Cross Zombie Blood Drive, a partnership between AMC and the American Red Cross. AMC is organizing a special sweepstakes to thank those who support blood donation through the Red Cross. The grand prize is a visit to the set of “The Walking Dead” in Atlanta, Georgia. Details are available at amcgiveblood.com. All donors will receive information on how to enter this sweepstakes at the Donor Centers.
